ruby-levenshtein software package provides calculates the Levenshtein distance between two sequences, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ruby-levenshtein
ruby-levenshtein is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ruby-levenshtein package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ruby-levenshtein *
You will get with ruby-levenshtein package name, version, architecture and description in a table
